BBNaija Allstars: Season finale to take place on Independence day

The grand finale of the eighth edition of the most watched Nigerian reality show, Big Brother Naija Allstars will take place today, Sunday, October 1. Today also marks the Independence day of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The grand finale will serve as premium entertainment content for the viewers across the country.

It would be recalled that the competition kicked off on Sunday, July 23 with twenty contestants from the previous BBNaija editions except for the inaugural contest that took place in 2006.

The returning housemates comprised from the rebooted BBNaija Gobe edition that took place in 2017. Housemates from the consecutive years were also featured on the show.

After nine consecutive weeks that witnessed the elimination of various housemates and removal of house guests, six contestants will be vying for the grand prize which is worth N120 million.

The finalists are namely; Ilebaye, Mercy Eke, Cross, Cee C, Pere Egbi and Adekunle Olopade.

Nigerians are looking forward to see the events that will unravel on Sunday night. Certain populace have lauded the residential Gen Z contestant, Ilebaye to emerge winner of the contest.

Another sect have predicted that BBNaija Pepper Dem contestant, Mercy Eke will emerge victorious once again, hence, becoming the first contestant to win the show twice.

The aforementioned contestants have been pinpointed as the favourites to win the show on Sunday evening.

Regardless of the result, history is certain to be made on Independence Day.
