The Federal Government (FG) has reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring the timely completion of Section Three of the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway.
This section spans 61 kilometres within Enugu State.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, visited the project site as part of a citizen engagement tour of the South-East.
He stated that modern road infrastructure is crucial for economic development, improved safety, and the welfare of citizens.

“This project is a visible testament to the government’s resolve to complete strategic highways nationwide for the benefit of Nigerians,” said Idris.
The construction of the dual carriageway is being carried out by CGC Nigeria Limited and is valued at ₦100.8 billion.
According to the Director of Highways, South-East, Engineer Tony Mbiko, the Enugu-bound section is now complete, and work on the remaining portion is ongoing.
