Inter Milan have officially secured their 21st Serie A crown after a composed and clinical win over Parma. The title was confirmed with three matches of the league season still left to play.
Nerazzurri clinched their this campaign’s Serie A title with a convincing 2-0 win over Parma. They needed only a point, but delivered a performance worthy of champions at San Siro.
Marcus Thuram broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time with a powerful finish. The France forward opened the opened the scoring after firing past Parma keeper Zion Suzuki.
Inter controlled proceedings comfortably and rarely looked threatened throughout the encounter, and their attacking pressure eventually paid off again late in the game.
Ruthless Inter wrap up title race early with authority
The hosts had to wait until the 80th minute for their second. Veteran Henrikh Mkhitaryan met a low cross into the net before calmly finishing after excellent build-up play.
Blue and gold ribbons littered the pitch at the end as celebrations erupted across the stadium. Interestingly, Manager Cristian Chivu marked his first major coaching success in emphatic fashion.
