Mohbad, Nigerian singer dead at 27

Nigerian recording artiste, Mohbad whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba has died.

The former Marlians record artiste died at the age of 27.

News Round The Clock confirmed the singer-songwriter died on Tuesday, September 12.

Details about Mohbad’s demise is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

Reports of Mohbad’s demise is coming several weeks after his friend and colleague, Bella Shmurda disclosed that the late singer attempted suicide several times after his rift with former label boss, Naira Marley in 2022.

News Round The Clock recalls that Mohbad called out his former record label boss, Naira Marley on social media last year, accusing him of ordering his boys to beat him up.

He left the record label shortly after the incident.

In a chat with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda said Mohbad attempted to commit suicide during his ordeal but was prevented by friends.

He said, “There was a time, me and Mohbad were in an apartment and my guy was like he wanted to jump from the upstairs because of the issues he was having with his record label. We held him by the window. The youngster had almost jumped, it was his girlfriend that entered the room and saw him sitting down at the window.”
