Mr. Ibu’s Daughter ends nine months marriage, says she won’t settle for a lie

The nine months marriage of Chioma Jasmine Okafor, the daughter of popular Nollywood comic actor, Mr. Ibu, has hit the rocks.

The marriage crashed after the content creator discovered that her husband lies about his divorce and number of children. 

Jasmine said she only found out the truth about her husband’s divorce and number of children from his mother.

Mr. Ibu’s daughter announced this on her verified Instagram page on Monday, with a post of their wedding picture captioned “The End”.

NRTC had earlier reported that the couple who met on TikTok tied the knot on February 28, 2022, after two months of dating. 

She further described the nine months of marriage as the best months of her life, noting that she had no regrets about staying with him but she would not settle for a lie.

She wrote: “This was the best nine months of my life! I have no regrets whatsoever! I just won’t settle for a lie regardless! I forgive easily, I remember asking you about this severally before we started! Finding out today from your mum, really broke me! A foundation built upon a tiny lie won’t stand! I love how you loved me! But hate how you never mentioned your divorce  kids to me! Moving on I don’t think I want anybody else! Just gonna love you from a distance!”

Jasmine had on November 7 posted a TikTok video of her and her husband at a beach side with a caption “love always win in the end”.
