Peter Obi visits woman who was stabbed at Lagos polling unit during 2023 presidential election (PHOTOS)


The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) at the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi on Monday, March 6 paid a visit to the home of Mrs Jennifer Efedi, a woman who was stabbed at a polling unit in Surulere, Lagos state on Saturday, February 25.

Efedi was stabbed in the face by political thugs while she was awaiting her turn to serve her civic responsibility at the recently concluded election.

Despite the unfortunate incident, Efedi who received stitches on her face returned to cast her vote, becoming an iconic figure at the 2023 presidential election.

During his visit to her in her home on Monday, Obi described her as “my point of contact with every Nigerian who suffered a similar fate in their bid to exercise their voting rights, and contribute to a new Nigeria.”
