His sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, polled 16,503 votes.

Anyim stated that the process complied with INEC guidelines, the APC constitution, and relevant electoral laws.

He added that collation was conducted across 774 local government areas and 8,809 wards, with state governors serving as national collation officers at the Abuja centre.

He also noted that party agents were allowed to observe and raise objections throughout the process.

Performance

In his acceptance speech, Tinubu commended party leaders and members and urged them to highlight his administration’s performance over the past three years.

He disclosed that about ₦282 billion had been disbursed through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), benefiting more than 1.5 million students.

He also stated that nearly 2.5 million prepaid meters had been distributed under the Presidential Metering Initiative, alongside efforts to clear about ₦4 trillion in debts owed to GENCOs and GASCOs, as well as initiatives aimed at boosting power generation to 6,000MW.

Tinubu further noted that the removal of fuel subsidy and reforms in the foreign exchange market had contributed to stabilising the naira and strengthening external reserves amid global economic pressures.

He added that recent fiscal and tax reforms had improved revenue generation for the country.

Looking ahead, he pledged to expand major infrastructure projects, including the construction of concrete highways linking coastal regions to Sokoto and Badagry if re-elected.

On security, he assured continued efforts to restore stability across all regions of the country.

He also extended an olive branch to political opponents, calling for unity in nation-building.

“Those of us who hold different political views are nonetheless partners in the great task of building our nation. Democracy does not thrive when everyone thinks alike,” he said.
