At just 22, the San Antonio Spurs star secured every first-place vote to become the youngest winner of the Defensive Player of the Year award.
Wembanyama averaged 3.1 blocks per game, leading the league again this season. He also posted career-best numbers in scoring and rebounding.
“I’m super, super happy to win this award,” he said proudly. He added he was “super proud to be the first ever unanimous winner.”
