AbdulRazaq reaffirms commitment to education

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening public education, emphasising investments in infrastructure and digital learning.

During an inspection of the state’s multistorey prototype primary school in Adeta, Ilorin, over the weekend, the governor described the initiative as a crucial step in upgrading public school infrastructure.

He highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the quality of teaching alongside significant investments in the education sector.

“This year, we will focus heavily on education and healthcare—two major challenges we must overcome,” AbdulRazaq told reporters at the inspection site.

“With KwaraLEARN, where we equip classrooms with digital devices, we are intentionally bridging critical learning gaps.”

The governor noted that the KwaraLEARN programme has transformed public education in the state, leading to increased student enrollment as parents move their children from private to government schools.

Governor AbdulRazaq credited this shift to visible improvements in learning outcomes and school facilities.

“This prototype KwaraLEARN school represents our new approach to designing and building educational facilities,” he explained.“

It is the model we intend to adopt moving forward. The surge in enrollment and reduction in out-of-school children validate the impact of our efforts.”

AbdulRazaq assured that his administration remains committed to expanding the KwaraLEARN initiative and further enhancing the quality of education across the state.
