Renowned Nigerian rapper Olamide Baddo has cleared the air about a long-held belief that he is a shy person.
During a recent appearance on Ada’s Room, the YBNL boss explained that what many people interpret as shyness is actually his naturally calm and reserved personality.
According to him, the perception has lingered for years, but it doesn’t reflect who he truly is.
“One thing I wish people could understood about me is I am not shy, I am just laid back,” he said.

The interviewer then pressed further, asking him to explain the difference between both traits. Olamide responded by breaking it down clearly.
“Shy is when you don’t have the confidence and the charisma to stand people or look them in the eye or have conversations with them.
“But being laid back is you just don’t want to be bothered. People think I am shy but I am not.”
The rapper’s clarification adds new context to his public image, especially as fans often describe him as quiet and reserved compared to many of his industry peers.
