Bukayo Saka has agreed a new long-term contract with Arsenal in a deal that will see the 24-year-old become one of the club’s highest earners.
The agreement shows Arsenal’s strategy of protecting their core talents for the long term. In recent months, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly followed similar paths.
Saka’s journey began at Hale End, and he made his senior debut in 2018. Since then, he has grown into a leader and constant attacking outlet.
Last season tested his resilience after hamstring surgery sidelined him for three months. Even so, he delivered 12 goals and 13 assists across 37 appearances.
The previous campaign marked another milestone when he captained Arsenal for the first time. He also finished as the club’s leading scorer with 20 goals.
This season, Saka has again delivered consistency and cutting edge. He has recorded seven goals and six assists in 27 matches.

Why Saka’s new deal matters more than Arsenal’s summer spending spree
Arsenal sit six points clear at the Premier League summit with a flawless Champions League record. Their title push feels sustainable because Saka remains central.
The winger’s extension outweighs the club’s £250m summer recruitment drive and his influence and academy roots cannot be replicated. Saka’s presence shapes Arsenal’s attacking identity, especially down the right flank. Mikel Arteta continues to build systems that maximise his output.
This contract secures Saka through his peak years and protects future growth with his numbers already rivalling Europe’s elite wide players. Beyond club football, a crucial international summer awaits with England under Thomas Tuchel as supporters hope domestic success fuels World Cup impact.
