Stop making marrying a rich man your goal – Paul Okoye’s wife, Ivy advises women

Wife of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, Ivy Ifeoma, has triggered widespread reactions online after sharing her thoughts on relationships, wealth, and financial independence.

In a video posted on her TikTok page, Ifeoma advised single women not to set marrying a wealthy man as their main life ambition.

She noted that while marrying into wealth may come with certain advantages, women should place greater emphasis on building their own financial stability and independence.

Addressing rumours that she married the singer because of his wealth, largely influenced by their age difference, Ifeoma stated that she was already financially successful before meeting him.

โ€œMarrying a rich man should not be anybodyโ€™s primary goal. Why would you even want to have a primary goal of marrying someone because they are rich? At the end of the day, it is their money, not your money.

โ€œDonโ€™t get me wrong, marrying rich is a very good add-on because it can open doors of opportunities for you. But what I will tell you to do as a woman is to get rich.โ€

She further encouraged women to focus on self-development, stating that wealthy and successful men are more attracted to ambitious and hardworking women who are financially independent.
