The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed former Cross River State governor, Liyel Imoke, and former Kwara State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, to head key committees ahead of its presidential primary election.
The party disclosed the appointments in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
The party said the committees were constituted to guarantee transparency, credibility, fairness and internal democracy throughout the primary process.
Imoke will chair the Presidential Screening Committee, while Hon. C.I.D. Maduabum will serve as secretary.

Other members of the committee are Lawal Batagarawa, Bode Ayorinde, Nnena Elendu-Ukeje, David Salifu and Abubakar Ciroma.

The ADC also appointed Ahmed as chairman of the Presidential Election Committee, with Yisa Gana serving as secretary.
Other members of the committee are Adamu Jalingo, Auwalu Anwar, Emenike Ikechi, Macaulay Iyare, Tajudeen Bakare, Ubolo Okpanachi, Zainab Buba Galadima, Uzoamaka Onyeama and Muhammad Idris.
To address disputes arising from the presidential primary, the party constituted a Presidential Appeals Committee chaired by Suleiman Usman, Ken Imasuagbon will serve as secretary, while Dare Okerade will serve as a member of the panel.
The ADC also completed arrangements for its governorship primaries by inaugurating two screening panels and two appeal committees.
The first Governorship Screening Panel will be chaired by S.E. Aruwa, while Femi Olawuyi will serve as secretary.
Other members of the panel are Lauretta Onochie, Vivian Ugochukwu, Akilu Indabawa, Ibrahim Wali and Rabiu Bello.
Justina Abanida will chair the second Governorship Screening Panel, while Chille Igbawua will serve as secretary.
Other members are Gerrard Irona, Yisa Braimoh, Hassan Ibrahim, Joseph Enemali and Aliyu Ngolmo.

The party also approved two appeal committees to handle petitions and complaints arising from the governorship primaries.
P.I. Oyewole will chair the first appeal committee, while Abdulhakeen Ibrahim will serve as secretary and Adah Usman as a member.

M.E. Sheriff will chair the second appeal committee, with Realwan Okpanachi serving as secretary and Hassan Yakubu as a member.
The ADC said the newly constituted committees reflected its commitment to conducting orderly and credible primaries ahead of the general elections while strengthening internal democratic processes within the party.
