Popular Yoruba movie star, Murphy Afolabi, has reportedly died in the early hours of Sunday, 14th of May 2023.
The passing of the 49-year-old actor was confirmed by his colleagues in the movie industry.
A well-known actor and producer, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, and others announced this via their social media handles.

Ola-Yusuf wrote: āREST IN PEACEā¦ May God give the family and close associates the fortitude to bear the loss.”
In the same vein, actress Biola Adebayo via her Instagram handle confirmed the passing of the 49-year-old.
Other colleagues of the 49-year-old who confirmed the news wished him eternal rest.

According to them, today was a “Black Sunday.”
As of press time, NRTC could not confirm the circumstances surrounding Afolabiās death.
