According to reports reaching our sports desk, Nottingham Forest’s striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has woken from an induced coma after undergoing surgery to repair a serious abdominal injury.
Recall that Awoniyi sustained an abdominal injury during the Premier League fixture against Leicester City and had the first part of the surgery on Monday and spent Tuesday in an induced coma as medical staff monitored his progress as part of the procedure.
