Nigerian music star, Davido has publicly criticized the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, accusing him of plotting a political move he described as embarrassing.
The singer made the comments early Tuesday on X (formerly Twitter), where he tagged Oyetola and strongly condemned his alleged actions.
Davido, who referred to the former Osun State governor as “the most desperate politician in the world,” insisted that whatever plan Oyetola had would not succeed.
Davido wrote “The most desperate politician in the world is @GboyegaOyetola very embarrassing. Oyetola your plan no go work.”

Although he did not explain the details of the alleged plan, the comment comes amid rising political tension in Osun State ahead of the governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
The development also follows Davido’s recent announcement that he would temporarily pause his music career for two months to support his uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, in his re-election campaign.
