Godswill Akpabio, governors celebrate fallen heroes

On Sunday, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and governors celebrated fallen heroes for paying the ultimate sacrifice of protecting the sovereignty of the country.

Akpabio said Nigeria’s unity came at a great price and the sustenance and defence of this unity rest on the shoulders of the men and women of the Armed Forces.

The Senate President said President Bola Tinubu is committed to ensuring Nigeria remains an inseparable and indivisible entity.

Akpabio spoke at an Interdenominational Church Service for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.

The Senate President said, “If only we could share the pain they feel, then we would truly understand the imperative of eschewing insecurity and violence in all its forms.
