How I sold cars, lost 40-year-old son to sickness, Veteran actor, Alapini Osa recounts

Veteran actor, Ganiu Nofiu, popularly known as Alapini Osa, has recounted how he sold his cars and other valuable attempts to care for his 40-year-old son who was bedridden and later gave up the ghost after months of receiving treatment.

Recounting the horrible experience in a video posted by popular skit maker, Akinyoola Ayoola, known as Kamo State, Alapini Osa appealed to Nigerians, especially his fans, to show him a similar gesture extended to his colleagues, Fatai Odua, known as Lalude.

NRTC gathered that after Lalude’s car was purchased, a popular Nigerian phone dealer who lived abroad donated new smartphones to Lalude and Alapini Osa through skit maker Kamo.

Alapini Osa who is famous for playing the role of an herbalist in movies and social media skits debunked living in a dilapidated building, maintaining that he had an unfinished house with whom he is residing.

He said: “I had a 4 Runner SUV and another car but I sold them and lost other valuables when my first born took ill and was bedridden. It was a difficult time for me at that time. He was a 40-year-old man but he died eventually and I accepted it as an act of God.

ā€œI am not asking Nigerians to raise money for me to take care of my health because I am medically fine, but I need a car and I know Nigerians who bought a car for my friend, Lalude, can do the same for me too. I am trusting Nigerians and my fans outside the country to make this dream a reality.ā€

According to the actor, things have not been going well since the death of his son whose sickness forced him to sell some of his valuables.

Skit maker Kamo State, who was the brain behind how Lalude became a car owner, appealed to Nigerians to replicate the same for Alapini Osa.

Kamo via his Facebook page on Sunday morning disclosed that he had raised #1,178,610 for the purchase of a car for Alapini.

He said Alapini Osa appreciated those who contributed as well as called for more donations.

According to him, “I’m committed to using my platform to draw support for legendary Nigerian actors in the Yoruba speaking movies.

“Baba Alapini Appreciate You All…We raised #1,178,610. So Far, Thank You So Much, Please Lets Do More..No Amount Is Small Or Big To Support This Legend. 0138509506 Union Bank. Akinyoola Ayoola Buzz
