Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has opened up about a mysterious illness that kept him in a fragile state for seven years.
Speaking in a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, the respected Yoruba movie star recounted how he endured one of the darkest seasons of his life. According to him, he could not eat solid food during that period and survived only on pap, while he had to pray sitting down.
“For a good seven years, I prayed while sitting, and I couldn’t eat anything except pap. It was a terrible period of my life. When I started collecting different kinds of treatments and going from place to place, I thanked both mën and women. The only thing I couldn’t do then was go to locations often, and I never sold any properties,” he said.

Ogogo also shared that he moved from one place to another in search of a cure and tried various forms of treatment. Despite the physical toll, he never sold any of his belongings and maintained hope through it all.
He added that the ordeal made him feel close to death, so much so that he discarded his Mecca teeth, believing the end was near.
