LeBron James has surpassed Robert Parish’s long-standing record for the most regular-season games played in league history.
The record was achieved after James featured in his 1,612th regular-season game on the night the Los Angeles Lakers edged past the Orlando Magic 105-104.”It just kind of happened. It was not on the list of things that I wanted to accomplish,” said four-time NBA champion James.
The contest itself delivered late chaos, as a decisive three-pointer sealed the Lakers’ ninth straight win. James contributed across the board, showing his enduring value despite advancing years.

“I wanted to be the best player in this league at some point.” Those ambitions continue to define his relentless pursuit of greatness. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant carved his own milestone.

Durant climbed above Michael Jordan into fifth on the all-time scoring list. His 27-point display powered the Houston Rockets to a narrow win.

Elsewhere, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered a stunning 40-point performance. His brilliance led the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Washington Wizards.
However, the game turned chaotic late in the second quarter with multiple ejections following a heated altercation. Despite this, Oklahoma maintained control to secure a dominant victory.
For James, though, the night remained deeply personal and historic. “Availability, I’ve always wanted to be available to my team-mates,” he added.
