Ruben Loftus-Cheek has spoken publicly after a dangerous clash left him with a fractured jaw and lost teeth. The AC Milan midfielder was stretchered off during Sunday’s Serie A defeat after a violent collision.
The 30-year-old collided with Parma goalkeeper Edoardo while contesting an aerial ball early in the match. Consequently, he collapsed to the turf as alarmed teammates immediately called for medical assistance.
Medics fitted a neck brace before carrying him off, his face bloodied from the impact. Afterwards, he was rushed to hospital, where tests confirmed a broken jaw and dental damage.
Despite the trauma, Loftus-Cheek later reassured fans with an emotional message online. He wrote: “It was a tough blow, but the worst is behind me. A heartfelt thanks to all the medical staff who supported me over these past hours with professionalism and care.

He also posted images appearing to show before-and-after surgery moments, including one with missing teeth. Another picture showed corrective dental work completed successfully.
However, the injury occurred just 11 minutes into the contest, forcing his early withdrawal. To compound matters, Mariano Troilo netted late as Milan slipped to a 1-0 defeat.
Now, the former Chelsea midfielder begins recovery, determined to return stronger and reunited with his team.
