Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun has spoken about the danger of keeping people who pretend to care but secretly wait for bad news.
The comedian shared his thoughts on his Twitter page, noting that some people call others their friends yet rush to spread any negative story about them online just to get attention or make money from it.
He pointed out that such people do not truly wish others well and only stay close because they benefit from the drama that follows.
Makun also prayed for God’s protection from friends who act loyal in public but behave like enemies in private.

He added that people who deceive others in this way often face the outcome of their actions sooner or later.
He wrote: “Beware of anyone who calls you a friend yet rushes to jump on any negative news about you just to trend and gain monetisation. Not everyone around you wishes you well. May God protect us from friends who are truly enemies in disguise. Their karma is never far”.
