Nigerian recording artiste, Rema whose real name is Divine Ikubor has become the first Nigerian to perform at the zenith football award ceremony, Ballon D’Or.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter performed at the award ceremony that took place in France on Monday, October 30.
Following his recent milestone, Rema is not only the first Nigerian to perform at the international football ceremony, he is also the first African artiste to perform at the award show.

Meanwhile, Argentine footballer, Lionel Messi won the award for the best male footballer for the 8th time in his legendary career.
Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen finished in 8th place at the 2023 Ballon D’Or award ceremony, attaining the highest position for any professional Nigerian footballer.
