Barcelona and Spanish international footballer, Gerard Pique and Colombian pop star, Shakira have ended their 11-year relationship.
This was confirmed in a terse statement on Saturday, June 4.
The pair, whose relationship began in 2010, have two sons together, Milan and Sasha.
A brief statement, released by Shakira’s communication agency, confirmed:
“We regret to confirm that we are parting ways.
“For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”
It comes after Pique was allegedly caught in bed with another woman.

It is believed the couple have been living separately for a few weeks after the footballer was kicked out of their family home.
According to Spanish outlet El Periodico, he has been staying in a bachelor pad and has been living a “party lifestyle” since the split.
