Other companies like TikTok, Meta and YouTube have also come up with parental controls, due to pressure from the regulatory bodies. Although there are many applications made exclusively for children, several of them continue using the regular applications for a freer interface.

Spotifyā€™s controls are meant to prevent ā€˜adult contentā€™ from being listened to by minors while at the same time ensuring that each account still has the individuality of its users. These settings can be set up by parents from the Spotify Accounts page of the app.
