Nigerian music star and Grammy winner, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has revealed that his spiritual search led him to convert from Christianity to Islam, though he still feels unfulfilled.
Speaking during an interview with streamer Playboymax, the singer said his decision to explore different faiths came from a deep desire to understand life and truth.
He explained that despite reading and studying several religious books, he continues to feel uncertain about many things concerning faith and spirituality.
Burna Boy shared that his journey from Christianity to Islam was driven by curiosity and a personal quest for meaning, but the process has not given him the clarity he hoped for.

He noted that his exploration is ongoing, as he continues to seek answers about life, existence, and his connection with the divine.
He said: “Growing up, I was a Christian and then I converted to Islam. It’s like I’ve studied it all, but I’m still out here trying to find out what is really going on, you know? The more I research, the more confused I get.”
