Former President Goodluck Jonathan has paid tribute to the late President Musa Yar’Adua.
In a statement posted on his X page, he described him as a “brother and worthy partner” as Nigeria marked 16 years since his passing.
Jonathan reflected on Yar’Adua’s life and leadership, praising his integrity, humility, and commitment to what he called “true servant leadership”.
Jonathan said their time together in the Presidency was shaped by a shared belief in a Nigeria where justice was not just spoken about, but genuinely experienced by citizens.
He described Yar’Adua as a calm but principled leader who consistently placed national stability above personal or political interest.
