Nigerian celebrities on Friday graced the 2026 Oujude Oba in grand style, as the annual cultural celebration once again drew a colourful mix of traditional royalty, entertainers, and high-profile personalities.

‎The ancient town of Ijebu‑Ode in Ogun State came alive as indigenes, dignitaries, and guests gathered for the Ojude Oba Festival.

‎The festival is usually held on the third day after Eid‑el‑Kabir; the celebration is a homage to the Awujale of Ijebuland, the paramount ruler. It blends religion, history, and fashion, with horse‑riding families and cultural troupes.

‎Farooq Uregba a.ka “King of Steeze”, rode in on horseback, dazzling in green and yellow agbada with coral beads, embodying the equestrian tradition that defines Ojude Oba.

Senator Eniola Badmus, popularly known as “Badoski”  graced the arena in a flowing blue agbada with gold accents, crowned by a beaded headpiece — a powerful blend of politics and culture.

Tayo Odueke known as “Shikiratu Sindodo”  stunned in a velvet agbada embroidered with pink floral motifs, paired with a dramatic gele and coral beads, radiating feminine elegance.

‎Ojude Oba is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most fashionable festivals, with participants dazzling in elaborate aso‑oke, flowing agbada, colourful gele, beaded crowns, coral necklaces, stylish glasses, and even decorated horses adorned with cloths and beaded harnesses.
