Nigerian singer Rema has spoken about the reasons behind the end of his relationship with his former girlfriend, describing her as “quite manipulative”.
In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the music star explained that although the relationship had its good moments, it was not without tension and emotional stress.
Rema noted that he often returned home expecting comfort after dealing with public pressure, but instead encountered further emotional challenges, which made the relationship difficult to sustain.

According to him, he eventually decided to leave when he could no longer cope with the situation.
“My romantic relationship was beautiful but a little quite manipulative. So much pressure. Knowing the world puts so much pressure on me but coming back home is where you want to feel relieved but when you come back home and you are getting more pressure, it’s a different story. For now, I’m done,” he said.
