Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi on Monday, 13 January 2026, joined Archbishop Jude Okolo to lay the foundation stone for Sacred Heart Primary and Secondary School in Ozubulu, Anambra State.
Obi described the event as a commitment to education and the future, saying it reflected his long-held belief in education as a tool for social transformation.
In a statement shared on his social media platform, he said he was proud to support an initiative focused on expanding access to quality education.
He also announced his commitment to support the project with monthly financial assistance until its completion.
“It was a deeply fulfilling moment that reaffirmed my belief that education is one of the most powerful tools for transforming our society,” Obi said.

He added that his support represents a contribution toward ensuring the school becomes a lasting institution that will serve generations of children, particularly those with limited access to quality education.
Obi further noted that the Sacred Heart School project represents hope, action, and determination to invest in the future through education.
