Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Sanwo-Olu calls for reflection on invaluable contributions of military personnel

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on Nigerians to reflect on the invaluable contributions of military personnel.

Governor Sanwo-Olu in a statement via his X, formerly Twitter, harped on the expression of gratitude for the Army’s dedication to safeguarding the country. 

Mr Sanwo-Olu, who graced the Lagos State 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) said the ceremony was a momentous occasion to pay tribute to Nigeria’s fallen heroes who have served in the armed forces as well as honoured their sacrifices and commitment to the nation.

Part of the statement read: “Today, I attended the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Parade and Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Remembrance Arcade, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. 

“Today provides a poignant opportunity to reflect on the invaluable contributions of our military personnel and to express our gratitude for their dedication to safeguarding our country.”
