Nigerian left-back Austin Harrison Uzondu has officially completed a move from Ikorodu City FC to Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC.
The 19-year-old signed a two-year contract in his first move abroad after an outstanding debut season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Additionally, Uzondu played 37 matches for Ikorodu City in the 2024/25 campaign, contributing one goal and eight assists.
His consistency and attacking threat from the left flank made him one of the league’s most reliable young defenders. Notably, he led the NPFL in assists during the first half of the season.
Wolfsberger AC confirmed the signing alongside Kenyan forward Ryan Wesley Ogam Rabok.

Born in Nigeria on October 25, 2005, Uzondu rose quickly through domestic football after Ikorodu City earned promotion to the NPFL for the 2024/25 season.
Previously, he had been called up to Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Integral to Ikorodu City success, Uzondu logged 3,001 minutes across the campaign. Ikorodu City finished mid-table in their debut NPFL season with 17 wins, eight draws, and 13 losses.
