Haruna Abdullahi Aliyu, a popular recording artiste in the Northern part of Nigeria has revealed that he regrets supporting and voting for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.
Aliyu specifically performed at numerous political campaigns and rallies to support Buhari’s presidential ambitions in 2015. He was also a top performer during his re-election in 2019.
In a new video that has been circulating across social media platforms, Haruna was seen nagging about Buhari’s leadership. Speaking in his native Hausa language, the singer stated that the “President has failed Nigerians.”

The musician said further:
“I deeply regret singing support songs for President Buhari because he failed Nigerians.
He has not kept his campaign promises.
I swear to God I regret supporting him (Buhari) on a number of issues badly handled by his administration. Of course, one may not regret everything but I regret anyway.
I regret because we supported him based on his assurances that he was capable of tackling insecurity, corruption and a bad economy.
As it is, the president has failed and hugely so. It is regrettable to have believed him this much’
