I watched these 5 Nollywood movies so you don’t have to

Previously, I wrote 5 Nollywood movies you absolutely need to watch on Netflix. If you haven’t read it, click here to read it. So it is only fair that I make another list for the movies that didn’t exactly make the cut.

1. The Wedding Party

I was beyond excited to watch this movie. And so, it was with high expectations that I approached it. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I understand that it was a comedy but I could not find comic relief through out the movie. Ultimately, I think the movie was a flop. Yes, I know it was the highest grossing Nollywood film ever. And so?

2. The Wedding Party 2

As if Part 1 was not enough, they just had to film part 2.

3. Chief Daddy 1

One thing all the movies on this list have in common is trying too hard to make us laugh. There was no story in Chief Daddy. Falz’s accent was too pretentious. All in all, just too much unnecessary Drama. Plus too many A-list actors. As the saying goes, ”Too many cooks spoil the broth.”

4. Sugar Rush 1

Adesua Etomi and her sisters discover a huge sum of money. Now, the true owners of the money come looking for them. One minute, I was watching a movie, the next, Adesua, Bimbo and Bisola were running helter skelter.

5. Elevator Baby

So Timini Egbuson, a spoilt brat, had to wait to be stuck in an elevator with a heavily pregnant woman, to decide to change his ways?

For all the movies whose part 2s I didn’t discuss/mention, don’t even bother.
