Head Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote has claimed the inability of his players to manage their lead led to defeat against Abia Warriors in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
3SC had led through Anayo Ogbonna in the 39th minute before the hosts came from behind to win the match.
Reacting after the match, Ogunbote noted that he will take the positives from the game. He also said he would ensure the team doesn’t repeat such mistakes in subsequent games.

He said: “We were unable to manage the lead even though we conceded the first goal, we had the opportunity. All we need to do is to take the positives.
“The positives is left for me and the players. We have seen the game. It has been won and lost. We still have some things to discuss with our players so that such mistakes are not committed in the next game.”
