Ondo 2024: Olusola Oke promises to focus on rural development ahead of Ondo State APC Primary

A prominent contender for the governorship position under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Chief Olusola Oke, has made a firm commitment to prioritize the development of rural communities through extensive road construction and infrastructural enhancements.

During his comprehensive tour across the 18 local government areas of the state in preparation for the APC primary, Oke reiterated his pledge to address various crucial sectors including transportation, housing, education, healthcare, power generation, and security.

Drawing on his extensive experience, Oke assured the residents of his determination to reinvigorate the state’s economy if entrusted with the opportunity to represent the party.

Emphasizing a focus on grassroots development to uplift the living standards of the populace, Oke underscored the importance of enhancing accessibility to rural areas, promoting family life, and ensuring food security through improved road networks.

“I am here to serve you, and I will not let you down. Please lend me your support. The fact that God spared my life is a testament to my purpose, which is to serve you,” Oke declared.

During his engagement with party leaders in Akoko North-West Local Government Area, Oke outlined his comprehensive agenda, which includes empowerment initiatives for women, farmers, widows, and youth development.

He pledged to govern with transparency, ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every corner of the state.

Oke also assured assistance to market women and support for farmers to bolster food production.

“I want to make it clear to you today that if you choose me as the party’s candidate and ultimately elect me as the governor of Ondo State, I will deliver good governance,” Oke assured.

Acknowledging Oke’s contributions, the APC chairman in the local government area, Mr. Kehinde Obanla, urged party members to rally behind him to advance the state’s prosperity.

The local government women leader, Princess Opeyemi Funmilayo, lauded Oke’s exceptional leadership qualities, highlighting his intellectual prowess as a distinguishing factor among other contenders.
