Oyebanji commissions smart school project

Ekiti Governor Oyebanji

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State on Tuesday commissioned the WOWbii Buddy Smart School Project at Government College, Ado-Ekiti, in a move described as a significant leap in the state’s digital education agenda.

The event, held within the school premises, drew attendance from top government functionaries including the Head of Service, Folakemi Olomojobi; Chief of Staff, Niyi Adebayo; and Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof Femi Akinwunmi, among others.

The Smart School initiative is part of the Oyebanji administration’s broader efforts to transform education and develop human capital in the state.

It seeks to establish safe and modern learning environments that encourage innovation in teaching, boost teacher morale, and equip students with the digital tools required to excel in a technology-driven society.

Governor Oyebanji’s government has, over the last two and a half years, prioritised reforms in foundational education.
