Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin has spoken on his early life, describing it as very difficult and unstable.
He revealed that he was raised by his mother after his father left the family when he was young.
The Nollywood actor shared this during a chat with media personality Chude Jidenowo, where he talked about how growing up without a father affected him emotionally and shaped some of his early choices in life.

He explained that at a point, he became involved with drugs as he tried to cope with the pain of his upbringing.
He added that he was able to leave that lifestyle behind with the strong support and effort of his mother, who raised him alone.
He also credited her for his growth and success in his acting career.

Franklin noted that being a single parent is not easy and said children, especially boys, often need father figures while growing up to help guide them in life.
โI was a hot mess as a child. My dad abandoned me. My mom raised me alone, and I turned to drugs,โ Franklin said.
