CHIVIDO2024 might likely be the biggest wedding of the year. It will surely be the gathering of rich folks who have gotten special invites from Davido and Chioma to witness their union. The story of the lovebirds seems to all rosy now but they have had their ups and downs.
Actually, the couple had planned to get married since 2020 but it took four years for their dream to be actualised. Let us take a trip down the memory lane to immerse ourselves in the Chioma and Davido ‘s love story.
First point of introduction (2018)
Davido introduced Chioma to the spotlight in 2018 as his girlfriend. Prior to this, Davido has had multiple relationships and even had a daughter each with Sophia Momodu and Amanda. Chioma so far is his only girlfriend that he has ever endorsed in public. He announced Chioma as his girlfriend in grand style and even sang a song called, Assurance solely to her. The wealthy singer bought his partner a Porsche worth of N35 million to also confirm his interest.
The model and chef, Chioma won Davido’s heart by far. Some people said it is because of her sumptuous meals but to be quite candid, food is not the only way to a man’s heart.
Contrary to people’s opinions that Chioma did not finish her undergraduate degree because of her relationship with the celebrity singer, Chioma is actually a graduate of Economics from Babcock University. The lovebirds met in Babcock University in 2013 and started dating in 2015 but their relationship was not made public until 2018.
Engagement and Ifeanyi ‘s birth (2019)
Chioma has been engaged to Davido for quite some time. The Grammy nominated singer proposed to Chioma in September 2019 just a month before the birth of their son, Ifeanyi. The duo was supposed to get married on 2020 but their plans fell through because of COVID-19.
Davido’s baby mamas
Even when Davido claimed to be in a relationship with Chioma, he was still involved with other women. But before then, Davido was romantically involved with some women who he has kids with.
The first rumoured baby mama of Davido is Ayotomide who claimed to have had sexual relations with him during one of his visits to Ibadan in 2013. She gave birth to her daughter, Aanuoluwapo in 2014. Even though DNA proves that Davido is the father of Aanuoluwapo, he has refused to have ties with her and the child at least not known to the public.
Sophia Momodu is Davido’s baby mama who birthed Imade in 2015. Sophia Momodu at a one point or the other has issues with Davido. Recently, Davido requested the custody of Imade from her mother, Sophia.
Amanda, a model and brand influencer in the U.S is a mother of two for the singer, Davido. She is the mother to Hailey Veronica Adeleke who was born in 2015. Amanda met Davido in the U.S when she was still a student of Georgia State University.
Cheating scandals
In 2019, Davido was rumoured to be dating a British model and DJ, Larissa Yasmin Lorenco and the duo have a son named Dawson together.

Chioma and Davido’s relationship suffered a strain in December 2020 when the picture of the singer kissing an American model, Mya Yafai while on a vacation in Ghana surfaced online. The duo both unfollowed each other on Instagram and Chioma stopped wearing her engagement ring.
Last year, another rumour of Davido’s cheating scandal began to make wave on the internet when a picture of Davido together with an Australian model, Anita Brown was released. The singer did not confirm or rebuke the claim till this day.
Ifeanyi’s death (2022)
After Ifeanyi’s 2nd birthday in October 2021, Davido and Chioma’s relationship began to make U-turn , their love took a progressive course. Davido followed Chioma back on Instagram in 2022. In March 2022, Chioma attended Davido’s O2 Arena Concert alongside Ifeanyi. All was getting back to normal. And for Ifeanyi’s 3rd birthday in 2022, they appeared in a united front.

But it did not continue this way, calamity befell the family when Ifeanyi drowned in swimming pool at the couple’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos. Controversies surrounding his death surfaced the internet, from negligence to intentional mistreatment. Davido was in the U.S when this happened and Chioma was away on a visit to Ibadan. It was indeed a tragedy for the couple.
People expressed their fear on social media that Davido might no longer have use for Chioma. They thought that the duo would have an estranged relationship since they had lost the child that was binding them together. But the news that came after shocked fans and everyone online.
Davido and Chioma’s traditional wedding
In December 2022, the couple allegedly tied the knot in a private traditional wedding ceremony. Rumours had it that Davido was compelled out of culture to marry Chioma so that he could gain rights to be accorded as Ifeanyi’s father. But nevertheless, the duo got married the traditional way.
Davido completed the marriage rites and Chioma’s position as his wife was secured. Chioma’s bride price was paid and she identified as Davido ‘s wife. Little wonder why Davido said he was married in an interview with Kiekie in 2023, he is married to Chioma Rowland.
Davido and Chioma 2023 relationship timeline
After a year of losing their first child together, Davido and Chioma welcomed a boy and girl, twins. The video of Chioma carrying twin children began to surface alone barely a year after their loss.
Davido then confirmed that they welcomed twins and it was indeed a multiple blessing for the family. The bond between Davido and Chioma appeared to be waxing stronger. After this, the couple was seen in a jolly mood attending events together.

After facing so many hurdles together, the lovebirds are to seal their union after nine years of being together and five years of engagement. In all the videos released from the pre-wedding preparations, one would see the unexplainable joy on Chioma’s face. She appears to be elated and excited for her big day. Davido sure knows how to make his woman smile. Davido and 30 BG gang have been making adequate preparations that the event, Chivido2024 goes well. It would be no short of a star-studded event and an affluent party. Chivido2024 would surely be a dream wedding.
