Guinness World Record: Atiku, Obi, Tinubu, congratulate Hilda Baci for showcasing true Nigerian spirit


As congratulatory messages continued to pour in for Hilda Bassey Effiong, known as chef Hilda Baci for breaking the Guinness World Record of ‘longest hours of cooking’ by an individual, the three top runners in the 2023 February presidential race, have all eulogized her.

The three top runners in a statement via their social media handles lend their voices as well as applauded Hilda’s determination and focus.

The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi stated that the efforts made by Hilda to beat the current Guinness World Record for cooking for four [4] days nonstop show the true Nigerian spirit of hardwork and resilience.

Obi added that Hilda’s determination and focus had inspired many Nigerian youths to live their dreams through hardwork and dedication.

He, however, wished her well on the noble journey to pen her name in the golden book of history.

In the same vein, the former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar in a statement via his Twitter handle appreciated the chef for making the country proud.

Atiku further stated that Nigeria is proud of Hilda for cooking her into the Guinness Book of Records and urged her to keep the sumptuous meals flowing.

Also, the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu described Hilda’s world record as a remarkable display of the Nigerian can-do attitude — the spirit of excellence that lies within.

He said Nigerians are proud of her for her record-breaking achievement.

Hilda Baci on Monday broke the world record for the longest cooking time by an individual surpassing the record previously held by Indian chef, Lata Tondon.

Tondon’s record stood at 87 hours, 45 minutes and at press time she had cooked for over 93 hours.
