NSC declares Enugu State winner of 2026 National Para Games‎

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has declared Enugu State as overall winner of the 3rd National Para Games, which wrapped up at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The announcement capped a successful edition that reinforced the role of para sports in Nigeria’s national development agenda. 

‎The Games were officially brought to a close by the First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, CON, represented by Hajiya Shettima.

She praised the athletes for their resilience and urged Nigerians to continue supporting para sports.

‎NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko highlighted the importance of para athletes to Nigeria’s sporting success.

He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to inclusion, athlete development, and structural reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. 



‎Enugu State emerged as champions, securing the top spot and showcasing the strength of their para athletes.

Their victory underscored the competitive spirit of the Games and set a benchmark for future editions. 

‎In a statement posted on the NSC’s official X account, the Commission emphasized that the 2026 National Para Games demonstrated Nigeria’s dedication to empowering athletes with disabilities and advancing sports as a pillar of national growth.
