Nigerian music superstars Davido and Asa are billed to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Sports Festival (NSF).
The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place by 5:00 p.m. today, Sunday, May 18, at the MKO Sports Arena in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Bukola Olopade, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, announced the development on Sunday afternoon via his official X account.
Olopade wrote: “This is our own Olympics and the festival must portray that global feel in both competition and organisation.

“The National Sports Commission and Ogun State Government have put up a world-class event to mark the opening ceremony later today by 5:00 pm.
“Two of Nigeria’s top music icons, Davido and Asa will be performing at the MKO Sports Arena.”
News Round The Clock reports that the 22nd edition of the festival, themed ‘Gateway Games’, will be officially declared open by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
