Nigerian recording artiste, Ayra Starr has called out the Headies award organizers for failing present the ‘Best Female Artist’ on stage.
It would be recalled that the Headies award ceremony took place at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States of America on Sunday, September 3.
The singer-songwriter, Ayra Starr won the award for the ‘Best Female Artist’ at the award ceremony, however, she was not presented with the award on the primary stage.

Taking to Twitter on Monday afternoon, Ayra Starr stated that she wouldn’t be grateful for winning an award that wasn’t deemed fit to be presented on stage after the Headies failed to present the prize at the event which held in attendance.

“I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasnāt even deemed fit to be announced on stage! Best female artist na beans? We work hard, every single one of us! Iāve seen Tiwa record 4 hit songs in the same night, Tems breaths and lives for music, we didnāt deserve such nonchalance! Nigeria, you didnāt raise me to settle for less.”
