Burna Boy compares self to ‘Jesus Christ’, says he is ‘best artiste globally’ (VIDEO)


Damini Ogulu, a Nigerian recording artiste who is better known as Burna Boy became the first singer-songwriter to win the Grammy award as a solo artiste in modern Nigerian music history.

Burna Boy is renowned for being braggadocios, in a recent video that surfaced on social media, the self-acclaimed African Giant stated that he is best artiste globally and he doesn’t get enough credit for his musical dexterity.

Speaking further in the video, Burna mentioned that even Jesus Christ didn’t get enough credit, hence, who is he to receive appropriate recognition.

Surrounded by a team of industry experts including Nigerian-British show promoter, Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, popularly known as Smade, and podcaster Adesope aka Shopsydoo, after a performance at the Afronation festival in Portugal, Burna Boy said he is not bothered about not getting enough credits because Jesus didnā€™t get his credits till after his death.

The ā€˜African Giantā€™ crooner in a viral video, said he appreciated the fact that people are testifying that he is the best musician in the world.

In the video, Smade was heard saying; ā€œBurna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, you donā€™t get your credits enough bro. Youā€™re the f*cking best in the world.ā€

Burna Boy reckoned: ā€œNo, I donā€™t [get enough credits]. Jesus also didnā€™t get his own credits till he died, so who am I? [Laughs]ā€

Shopsydoo added: ā€œItā€™s not about Afrobeats anymore, itā€™s about worldwide domination.ā€
