The voraciously anticipated Euro 2024 tournament kicked off on German turf on Friday night.
The host, Germany defeated the Scotland 5-1 in the opening match of the European tournament.
In the predominantly one-sided affair, the host were three goals up by half time, as they took control of the game from the kick off.

Scotland had Ryan Porteous sent off before the break for a dangerous tackle on Ilkay Gundogan inside the area.
In the second half, substitute Niclas Fullkrug extended their lead, before Antonio Rudiger headed into his own net.
There was enough time for Emre Can to curl one effort into the bottom corner.
