Super Eagles forwards Terem Moffi and Moses Simon have been nominated for the coveted Marc-Vivien Foe award, NRTC reports.

The organisers of the Marc-Vivien Foe award have deemed both Moffi and Moses worthy of this year’s nominations.

The award is given to the best performing player in a French Ligue 1 season who represents an African country at international level.

Moffi and Moses Simon are nominated alongside nine other Ligue 1 players.

The award was established in 2009 in memory of the former Cameroon International Marc-Vivien Foe. He passed away while playing for Cameroon during the 2003 FIFA Confederation Cup.

Both Moses Simon and Terem Moffi as well as Gabon captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang feature prominently on this nominees’ list.

Surprisingly, there is no place for former Flying Eagles forward Akor Adams who joined Montpellier last summer. Adams has bagged seven goals in the Ligue 1 this season.

Moffi’s 10 goals and two assists have helped Nice occupy European spot as they hope to maintain or better it.

Nantes are 14th in the Ligue 1 table with 28 points. The club will however continue to miss the services of Moses who has been ruled out of the season.

The winger sustained an injury during the Super Eagles’ 2-0 loss to Mali during an international friendly a week ago.

The Super Eagles duo will face tough competition from the current holder of the award Chancel Mbemba of D.R Congo.
