Jadon Sancho has left Manchester United as a free agent. The club confirmed his departure on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
The 26-year-old arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £75 million. United made him the fourth most expensive signing in club history.
He leaves having made 83 appearances. He scored 12 goals and provided six assists.
Sancho’s relationship with United crumbled soon after his arrival. He fell out with former manager Erik ten Hag. He was exiled from the first team.
He went on loan to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the 2023/24 season. He spent the 2024/25 campaign at Chelsea, winning the Conference League. He spent the 2025/26 season at Aston Villa, winning the Europa League.
In Villa’s Europa League final victory, Sancho came off the bench. He became the first player to appear in three European finals in different competitions in consecutive seasons.
