Arsenal remain top of the English Premier League table after a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
Brazilian defender Gabriel put Mikel Arteta’s ahead in the fourth minute off captain Martin Odegaard’s free-kick. However Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah restored parity when set-up by Trent Alexander-Arnold just before the half hour mark.
Chances continued to pour in for both sides but both failed to convert their chances when presented opportunities to do so.

Before Salah’s goal, the Reds looked like they were denied a conspicuous penalty when Odegaard handled the ball. Frankly, Liverpool had the better chances despite Arsenal’s attacking threats.
Substitute Harvey Elliott, impressive in the past few matches, had his shot slightly deflected into the outside of the post.
Also, Alexander-Arnold spurned what was the best opportunity when his shot crashed against the cross bar following a counter-attack.
