Popular Nollywood actresses Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi and Wumi Toriola have put an end to their long-running public dispute, seven years after it first began.
The reconciliation happened on Sunday, December 21, 2025, when both actresses unexpectedly crossed paths at a cinema in Ikeja, Lagos, where they were each promoting different film projects.
Toyin Abraham was at the venue to promote her latest movie, Oversabi Aunty, while Wumi Toriola was there for Behind the Scenes, a Funke Akindele–produced film in which she featured.
A video from the encounter, now trending on social media, captured the emotional moment between the two actresses. In the clip, Wumi could be heard saying, “I miss you”, before asking Toyin to swear that she did not miss her as well.
Toyin responded warmly, saying, “I miss you too”, after which the pair embraced, drawing excitement from fans online.

News Round The Clock recalls that the actresses, who were once close friends, fell out following a series of public disagreements that spilled onto social media, dividing their fan bases.
The feud reportedly began in 2017 during the filming of Alakada Reloaded, when Wumi accused Toyin Abraham of slapping her in their hotel room and warned her never to raise her hand against her again.
In 2018, Wumi further took a swipe at Toyin Abraham, accusing her of pretending to be engaged.
The rift resurfaced in 2023 following rumours that Wumi had a secret affair with Toyin’s husband. Responding to the allegation, Wumi said, “My attention was called to a diabolical rumours that I slept with a colleague’s husband. Not only is false, it is diabolical, evil and intended to soil my name.”
Fans have since welcomed the reconciliation, describing it as a positive moment for the Nollywood industry.
