Regina Chukwu opens up on battle with depression following Allwell Ademola’s death

Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has revealed that she has been battling depression following the death of her colleague, Allwell Ademola.

The news comes after the actress shared a video clip of Allwell on a movie set, reflecting on their time together and the projects they had planned.

Allwell Ademola, a well-known actress and producer, passed away on Saturday, December 27, after being found unwell at her Lagos home.

She was taken to Ancilla Hospital in Agege, where she was pronounced dead.

She was 49 years old. Her family described her as a committed actor, singer, filmmaker, and producer, and thanked everyone who offered condolences and support during this difficult time.

Colleagues and fans alike took to social media to mourn her passing and remember her contributions to Nollywood.

Regina Chukwu recalled memories of their work together on the film Aarin and other projects, expressing sorrow over the loss of her colleague and friend.

She wrote on her Instagram page: “Its hard. So hard. But its finally a wrap for ALLWELL. I have been battling depression since I heard that devastating news 😢 that I think its best for me to accept that its finally A WRAP for my big teddy (I HAVE NOT LEFT MY ROOM SINCE THEN). ALLWELL ITS WELL 🙏.
“This was you on the set of AARIN, we had plans, you couldn’t even wait to see the good job we did In LEGAL WIFE. ITS WELL O. JOURNEY WELL ENIOBANKE.”
